Right now, the job market in Germany has significantly slowed down, especially in tech, startups, and even corporate hiring. This isn’t just happening in Germany, either. Other countries across Europe, along with the UK, Canada, and even the United States, are seeing slower hiring, more layoffs, and tougher competition for remote roles. But despite all that, a lot of companies are still hiring English-speaking remote workers. The challenge is simply knowing where to look, because while there are plenty of legitimate opportunities out there, there are also a lot of fake job websites and scammers targeting desperate job seekers.

10 Websites Hiring English-Speaking Remote Roles
1. LinkedIn Jobs
First on the list is the most powerful platform globally, and that’s LinkedIn Jobs. Most people use LinkedIn the wrong way. They just click “Easy Apply” on hundreds or even thousands of jobs and let it end there. But LinkedIn is extremely powerful for Germany because many German startups and fintech companies recruit directly through it. You can search using keywords like “remote Europe,” “remote Germany,” “English speaking,” or “work from anywhere.” If you’re in customer support, search “customer support remote.” If you’re a project manager, search “project manager remote.” Or if you work in a specific industry, say fintech, you can search “fintech remote” right on LinkedIn. You can filter by remote, and you can also filter by experience level, whether that’s entry-level or mid-senior.
Companies like N26, Personio, SumUp, and Salon often post remote and hybrid roles on LinkedIn. Based on my research, TechRadar recently ranked LinkedIn among the best global job platforms because of its networking and recruiter visibility features.
2. Arbeitnow
Next on the list is Arbeitnow, one of Germany’s favorites. Arbeitnow focuses heavily on Germany and Europe, and one thing I love about it is that it clearly labels its roles, whether that’s remote jobs, visa sponsorship jobs, or English-speaking roles. This is especially good for software engineers, product managers, product designers, marketers, DevOps engineers, customer success, and startup roles in general. Another advantage is that most jobs listed link you directly to the company’s own site, which reduces the scam risk. Many companies there are open to international applicants.
3. Stepstone Germany
Third on the list is Stepstone Germany, one of Germany’s biggest and most established job platforms. A lot of corporate companies use it, including Siemens, BMW, Deutsche Telekom, Allianz, and SAP. Most roles on Stepstone require German, so you’ll have to search deep to find English-speaking ones. If you’re lucky enough to find one, you’ll typically find it in fields like tech, finance, data, project management, product management, and SaaS companies. A pro tip for searching on Stepstone is to use exact keywords like “English,” “remote,” “fully remote,” “international,” and “remote Europe.”
4. Indeed Germany
Number four on the list is Indeed Germany. Everybody knows Indeed at this point because it’s massive and aggregates jobs from thousands of websites. You can easily find remote jobs that never appear on LinkedIn. The best feature is the job alerts. Once you set them up, you’ll get new listings sent to your email pretty much every day.
5. RemoteOK
Coming in at number five is RemoteOK. If you want fully remote, global jobs, this platform is for you, since it’s more popular among startups and remote-first companies. You’ll find jobs in tech, technical writing, design, customer support, virtual assistant work, and marketing. The good thing is that many companies hiring here don’t care where you live, as long as you can work within European or overlapping time zones. This is excellent for people outside Europe trying to break into the international remote work scene.
6. We Work Remotely
Number six is We Work Remotely, one of the oldest and most respected remote job websites globally. Here you’ll see jobs from companies across Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, and the US. This platform is especially strong for software developers, product and project managers, operations, customer support, and content creators. Many roles are titled simply “Remote, work from anywhere.”
7. Remotify Europe
Number seven is Remotify Europe, probably the most underrated site on this list. It specifically focuses on remote jobs within European time zones, which means the employers on it are already comfortable with distributed teams across different countries. You’ll find IT jobs, finance jobs, HR jobs, customer support, marketing, and a lot of freelance opportunities. This is very useful if you live outside Europe but can work within central European hours.
8. English Jobs In Germany
Number eight, and the name pretty much speaks for itself, is English Jobs In Germany. This site is extremely useful for non-German speakers, since the whole platform is built around English-speaking roles in Germany. It removes the confusion of accidentally applying for a German-language role (there are some listed too, but English roles are the focus). You can filter by remote, by city (Berlin, Munich, Hamburg, and others), and by category, startup, tech, marketing, customer support, project management, product management, and more.
9. FlexJobs
Number nine is FlexJobs. One caveat: it’s a paid platform. Here’s why people still use it anyway, every job is reportedly screened manually to cut down on scams and fake postings. Red Flags To Watch Out For
Before you apply anywhere, there are a few things you need to watch for. If a company asks for payment, if they ask you to buy your own work tools or equipment, if they’re conducting interviews over Telegram or WhatsApp, if they’re promising unrealistic salaries once you’ve done your homework on the role, or if they ask for your passport right away, those are massive red flags. Walk away.
The remote job market is tough right now, and unfortunately scammers know people are desperate for work. Always verify companies via LinkedIn, check Glassdoor for reviews, and look at the company’s own website, applying directly through their careers page when possible. Don’t assume a sponsored Google ad is automatically legitimate either; a lot of fake job sites now run paid ads specifically to look trustworthy.

Tip Four: Optimize Your LinkedIn Headline
Make sure your LinkedIn headline works for you. Instead of just “open to work,” try something specific, like “Technical Project Manager” or, if you’re in AI, “Technical Project Manager, AI & Scrum.” Having the right keywords in your headline boosts your visibility.
